Pickens High School gymnasium to be named for Coach Peggy Anthony

  Last night the school board approved a request to name the Pickens High School gymnasium for Coach Peggy Anthony! Mrs. Anthony’s accomplishments as a teacher and coach include: – Twenty-six years as PHS head volleyball coach with nine State Championships, eleven Upper State Championships, and twenty-two Region Championships. – First volleyball coach in South Carolina

PHS Athletic Parent Meeting

There will be a Pickens Athletic Department meeting Wednesday 4/11 at 5:30 pm for parents of athletes in the PHS cafeteria.  Information will be provided about our physical process, our new online filing system with PlanetHS and our expectations of the PHS Athletic Department.

Blue Flame at the Pickens County Track Meet

Last night at the county track meet, the PHS girls finished second.  Congratulations go out to all of our all-county athletes: Gabe Dillingham in the 110m hurdles, Grace Chen in the 100m hurdles, Isabelle Surrett in the long jump and high jump, Amber Saitta in the 800m run, and Abi Bergholm in the 400m run. 


Pickens High School is excited to announce Rikki Owens as their new Head Girls Basketball Coach. Coach Owens has a passion for women’s athletics and young people. Currently, Coach Owens teaches special education at Pickens Middle School. Coach Owens is an Easley High School honor graduate where she lettered in volleyball, basketball, and softball. In
