Boys’ Golf Weekly Update
After a week off, the Boy’s Golf team was back at it with a busy week of matches and a tournament. On Tuesday March, 23rd, the Pickens Boys Golf team won a tri-match against Travelers Rest and Greer at Green Valley Country Club led by senior Austin Hall with a score of 39. The team scores were Pickens 173, Greer 178 and TR 181. Austin Hall was medalist of the match.
On Wednesday March, 24th, Pickens defeated Berea by a score of 191 to 247 at Paris Mountain Golf Club led by senior Carlton Gentry and freshman Grady Norris with a score of 46. Carlton and Grady were co-medalists for the match.
On Thursday, the golf team headed to Greenwood to play in the Emerald Viking Classic at Greenwood Country Club. After a rough, windy afternoon, Pickens finished in 13th place led by senior Grayson Pace and junior Landon Gray with a score of 87.
Coming up next week, Pickens will play Liberty in a match at Pickens Country Club on Monday March, 29th. On Thursday April 1st, Pickens will host their annual Pickens High School Invitational at Table Rock Golf Club and Resort.
