The rest of the players competed in 7-on-7 games with teams from around the southeast.  By the end of the mini-camp, the players had played in 18 such  games with teams from SC, NC, Georgia, and Florida and improved tremendously from Day 1 to Day 3 of the camp.

News & Notes:

INAUGURAL NFL FLAG LEAGUE A HUGE SUCCESS!

During the month of June, several future Blue Flame football players participated in a FlagPicture6 Football League at PHS.  The league featured 2 divisions: Ages 10 & Under and Ages 11-14.

The players took part in several individual drills each day with current Blue Flame players and coaches.  These non-contact drills included “Heads-Up” Tackling stations along with blocking drills, and throwing/catching drills.

Each team then played games of “5-on-5” flag football against one another within their age divisions. Picture7 Picture8 Picture9 Picture10 Picture11

YOUTH DAY CAMP

On July 1st, the Blue Flame Football Team hosted a Youth FB Day Camp for future BluePicture12 Flame football players from 9am-5pm.

Current football players, Tyler Gravely, Cole Seaborn, Braden Gravely, Jeb Kelley, Logan Lusk, and Brandon Batson assisted the Blue Flame coaching staff with the camp.

Following the morning practice session, campers ate lunch with the current players, watched a highlight video of the 2014 season, and took a tour of the PHS athletics facilities, school, and stadium.

The second practice session featured more fundamental drills followed by a Punt, Pass, and Kick competition.  The campers then took a popsicle and Gatorade break before playing several games of Flag Football to end camp.
